Helping you feel better, move better, and stay in motion

Dr. Shim of Motion OS Chiropractic & Performance Rehab

Dr. Ethan Shim is a chiropractic physician with a passion for helping people move better, feel better, and perform at their best. His approach combines evidence-informed chiropractic care, hands-on treatment, and individualized rehabilitation to address pain, restore movement, and build long-term resilience.

A former Division I soccer player at West Virginia University, Dr. Shim brings an athlete’s perspective to patient care. His experience in competitive sports shaped his interest in biomechanics, injury rehabilitation, performance, and the importance of keeping the body moving well—not only to recover from injury, but to help prevent recurring problems and maintain an active lifestyle.

Dr. Shim earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida, where he graduated Valedictorian. During his training, he developed extensive hands-on experience with spinal and extremity adjusting, movement assessment, rehabilitation, and the management of musculoskeletal conditions. His clinical interests include sports injuries, joint and muscle pain, movement limitations, and helping active individuals return confidently to the activities they enjoy.

His treatment philosophy goes beyond simply addressing where it hurts. Dr. Shim takes the time to understand each patient’s history, movement, goals, and lifestyle to identify factors that may be contributing to their problem. Care may incorporate chiropractic adjustments, manual therapy, dry needling, corrective exercise, and progressive performance rehabilitation, depending on the individual’s needs.

Dr. Shim founded Motion OS Chiropractic & Performance Rehab to create a different kind of healthcare experience—one centered around personalized, one-on-one care rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. While his background is rooted in athletics and performance, Motion OS is designed for everyone, from competitive and recreational athletes to active adults and individuals simply looking to get out of pain and move with greater confidence.

His goal is simple: help you feel better, move better, perform better, and stay in motion.
